Dental Emergencies

If you are experiencing a dental emergency, call our regular office line right away. We can usually see patients the same day.

For our established patients, emergency care is available 24/7. If you are calling after hours, follow the prompts to reach our on-call provider.

Common Examples of Periodontal Emergencies:

Severe Gum Pain or Swelling
Sudden or intense gum discomfort may indicate infection or an abscess that needs immediate treatment.

Periodontal Abscess
A localized infection in the gum or bone that can cause swelling, pus, bad taste, and significant pain. Prompt care prevents the infection from spreading.

Uncontrolled Bleeding
Bleeding that does not stop after applying gentle pressure, especially following a recent procedure, should be evaluated right away.

Loose Teeth (Sudden Onset)
Rapid changes in tooth stability can signal infection, trauma, or advanced periodontal breakdown.

Dental Implant Complications
Pain, swelling, mobility, or signs of infection around a dental implant require immediate assessment.

Post-Surgical Complications
Excessive swelling, persistent bleeding, severe pain, or signs of infection following periodontal surgery should be addressed promptly.

Gum Injury or Trauma
Cuts, tears, or trauma to the gums from accidents or sharp foods may need professional evaluation.
